Other Experience Days Powerboating has long been an elitist sport, reserved for the super-rich. But not since the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Series! In just 3 years this boat has grown from concept into the largest one-design power boat championship in the world. With additional safety features, control equipment and the expert guidance of ex-Powerboat champions as your instructors you can be sure you are in safe hands. Location: Southampton (South East)
Day Information: The experience will start with a safety briefing and introduction to the boat. Then you will enjoy a leisurely run up the river Itchen, past Southampton Docks. From there the boat travels at high speed out into Southampton Water. Full training will be given by experienced offshore powerboat drivers (most of which are national or world offshore champions). Speeds up to 60mph Each driver has 20mins driving time 4 people in each boat plus the driver Runs on occasional Fridays, then every Saturday and Sunday during season. Your voucher is valid for 10 months. Approximately 1.5 hours will be spent on the water. The total duration of the experience is approx 2 hours participants will receive a presentation certificate at the end. Participants will have a chance to take full control of the boat if they wish. The Powerboat driving season runs from April-October. The boats depart from Southampton . Full location details will be given on booking. The minimum age is 12 – those aged between 12 and 16 may participate only where a parent or guardian has a valid voucher/booking and is able to accompany them. Maximum weight is 16 stone. Pregnant or participants with serious back or heart trouble cannot take part. Please wear trainers or soft soled shoes and a waterproofs jacket.

Offshore Powerboat Taster Session

Water Experience Days Experience the unique thrill of a high speed tour of the Solent in a genuine offshore powerboat! Hold on tight as your highly experienced instructor takes the boat to the limit completing our offshore circuit. Feel the grace and pace of these racing thoroughbreds in an action-packed boat racing day! Location: Southampton (South West)
Day Information: Your experience will begin in Southampton with a safety briefing. You will then be provided with offshore racing jacket and life jacket and will be escorted to the waiting powerboat. After a short cruise down the river the driver will open up the throttle and you will the flying across the waves. This unique experience includes a demonstration of wave jumping, high speed cornering, racing lines and starts. Then you have two laps behind the wheel on our circuit to put it to the test. Friends and family are welcome to come and watch you leave the venue, following which they can relax and have a drink or something to eat. Dogs and children are welcome.Your voucher is valid for ten months for one person. You are free to contact the operator to arrange a mutually convenient date for your experience, using the details provided. This experience is on selected weekend dates from May to October. Allow one and a half hours total for your experience. There will be between one and four others taking part in the session. Maximum weight is 17 stone. All participants are required to sign a disclaimer. Minimum age 12 but under 18's must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. You will be provided with a water proof jacket but we suggest you wear a t-shirt, jeans and soft shoes or trainers. Please bring sun glasses, suntan lotion and a sweat shirt. There are toilets, changing areas and catering facilities on site.

Water Experience Days Zapcat Experience Plus is the brand new Zapcat driving experience delivered by the best in the business- a personal introduction to powerboat racing by a top race pilot. This is a truly unique one on one instructor/pupil Zapcat driving lesson and race tuition experience, and is for anyone who has been on a Zapcat in the UK, wanted to drive a race class powerboat, considered entering the Zapcat or Thundercat race series, or just loves the thrill of going fast, on water. Learn more about these exhilarating machines in a day of controlled madness! Location: Southampton (South West)
Day Information: On arrival at the yard you will have a safety and theory briefing, before taking to the water. All equipment will be provided. This experience will include around two hours on the water in a Zapcat. In total the experience will last around three to four hours. Dry suits and boots are provided. Showers and changing facilities are available. Tuition is delivered by one of the top inflatable powerboat pilots in the UK. There will be a safety boat in attendance, and a dry suit is provided. Your session will be tailored to your needs; so for example, if you are racing in the future, that will be the focus.Your voucher is valid for ten months. You are free to book a day for your experience using the details provided. The experience takes place on selected Saturdays and Sundays year-round. The session is with you and the instructor only. The supplier reserves the right to change booking dates and times. The supplier reserves the right to postpone/cancel sessions without notice in the event of poor weather, and cannot be held liable for costs incurred by the customer. The premises are shared with other marina users. Minimum age: 16 yrs; under 18s require parental consent. Maximum weight 127kg. Maximum height is 6'4”. Minimum height is 4'8” (Southampton). Not suitable if you are pregnant, have severe neck or back problems, or heart/ medical conditions. No experience necessary; non-swimmers must advise the instructor at their safety briefing. Spectators are unable to watch this experience.

Water Experience Days This powerful offshore cruiser features an open ‘Mediterranean style’ cockpit, sleek aerodynamic lines and handling and speed that will amaze even the most experienced sea farer. Not only will you get the chance to take the controls of this breathtaking machine but you can also soak up the atmosphere in the marina as others watch with envy as you cruise the Solent in style heading off for a visit to the Isle of Wight. Day Information: Your experience will last approximately three and a quarter hours; the day usually runs from 10am to 1:15pm or from 2pm to 5:15pm. Arrive for a welcome and safety briefing before you head off, spending a total of around three hours on the water. You can expect to spend ten to fifteen minutes at the helm driving the boat under the skipper’s guidance. Your day will include safety briefing, a chance to take the controls and explanation of basic navigation rules. There may be up to eight paying guests on board with two experienced crew members. Safety equipment is provided. Tea, coffee and bottled water are provided.Your voucher is valid for 10 months. Times are 10:00am to 1.15pm or 2pm to 5:15pm. Lunch is not included in this experience. Minimum age is 10. Maximum weight is 16 stone. The experience is not suitable for pregnant women or anyone with a serious back or heart complaint. This experience is available on Weekends only. A maximum number of eight guests per boat applies. You should wear warm clothing and flat non-slip shoes such as trainers or deck shoes, a waterproof jacket, Sunglasses and sun block are advisable. Driving is subject to suitable conditions on the day.
