Half-day Western Skills Workshop

Other Experience Days Take this chance to get a taste of circus and try skills that take your breath away when you watch the professionals make it all look so easy. A team of top teachers create a day that is full of fun while you test your dexterity and discover new talents. Why not spend time honing your knife throwing skills in the Western Skills Workshop? Learn how to crack a whip, lasso a stallion (horse not included!) and of course, throw knives at ten paces! Location: London (South East)
Day Information: Workshops run on selected Saturdays from 10.30AM to 2PM. During this fun and rewarding course, you'll learn whip cracking, lasso and knife throwing skills; just like they do in the Wild West! Your expert instructor will show you how to warm up and will run through each activity and equipment used. There will also be a full safety briefing. The order of activities is based on group rotation, so itineraries may vary. As you move between activities, the instructors will be on hand throughout to answer any questions and give helpful insider tips.Your voucher is valid for ten months, and you are free to arrange a date for your workshop using the details provided. No experience necessary. Min age is 14 and you must be reasonably fit to take part. The maximum number of participants will be 15. Please bear in mind that there will be a variety of age groups taking part. Spectators are welcome and will be able to see most of the action. Sessions run from 10:30AM to 2PM. Dress Code is comfortable clothing and clean trainers that can be worn inside. This experience runs on selected Saturdays throughout the year. We recommend booking at least four weeks in advance. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time to fill out a membership form and to get changed.

Other Experience Days Relish the sensation as the highly-trained skipper opens up the engines to take you up the Thames in the fastest and newest boats to hit Central London! The custom-fitted, comfy Ribcraft, capable of speeds of up to 45 knots and helmed by an equally entertaining guide, will thrill you between Embankment pier and Canary Wharf. You'll be laughing all the way! Location: London (South East)
Day Information: Arrive at the dock at the appointed time for a safety briefing before climbing aboard and blasting off down the famous London river! Your trip will last for around 50 minutes and is the closest thing possible to a white-knuckle ride in central London, as your skipper takes you through exhilaratingly tight turns and other manoeuvres. All skippers have travelled extensively on the Thames and boats are designed to ensure passenger comfort and safety at all times. A PA system ensures you can hear your guide clearly at all times, and the soundtrack to your adventure is provided by a high-powered stereo onboard. Waterproof clothing and automatically inflating lifejackets are provided. For those celebration trips you can also purchase a photo of your experience!Your voucher valid for ten months for one child up to the age of 16. Children are to be accompanied by an adult. There will be no more than eleven other participants on this experience. Spectators are welcome to wave you off, but they will not be able to see all the action of your experience. Although these boats are designed to cope with the most extreme conditions, in severe weather the experience may be cancelled and rearranged for an alternative date. Available selected dates through the year. This is the only RIB operator that provides arm rails (as well as a grip rail) to ensure your safety and comfort at all times. All trips have qualified commercial skippers and knowledgeable guides. All boats have been certified by the Maritime Coastal Agency and have on board the latest safety equipment. As well as having an inbuilt VHF Radio on the boat, crew also carry at least one hand held radio as back up.

Introduction to Powerkite Sports

Other Experience Days Spend a day on the beach experiencing this exciting and fast-growing sport. Whether you choose kitesurfing, landboarding or kitebuggying, you will receive expert instruction and will get a taste of what these sports require. Either way, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time and will leave with a passion for these challenging sports and a desire to perfect your skills. Location: Norfolk (East) Dorset (South West) Pembrokeshire (Wales)
Day Information: Sessions begin in the morning (start time depends on the tides) and last for approximately six hours. All courses begin by learning basic kite skills, after which the equipment will be explained to you. You will be taught by qualified instructors, and may choose one of the following kite sport disciplines: Kitebuggying – You will use your kite to pull this three wheeled vehicle across the sand. But be warned – no brakes! Kitesurfing – Using an inflatable kite your day will be spent body surfing in the water and even trying out standing on the board at the end of the day. Landboarding – Speed along the beach or field on a mountainboard (like a skateboard but with all terrain tyres), propelled by your kite.Your voucher is valid for 10 months. No experience is necessary, but you should be reasonably fit. The minimum age is 13 years, but under 18s must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must notify the centre of their age and chosen activity on booking. This experience is available on selected dates. The maximum group size is four for the kitesurfing and six for the kitebuggying and landboarding. Land courses require long trousers and trainers, and water courses require swimwear and a towel (warm clothing is recommended). Spectators are welcome, but there may be restricted viewing of the activities. If weather conditions are unsuitable and the session is cancelled, you will be offered an alternative experience or the opportunity to rebook on another date.

Introductory Waterskiing

Other Experience Days Waterskiing is one of those things that everyone should try, take this introductory waterskiing course and you’ll be able to impress your beach buddies this summer as you zoom round the crystal waters of the Med. On this half day course you will start with kneeboarding before progressing to standing up. All the equipment and instruction is provided. You’ll be gliding around the water in no time! Location: Gloucestershire (South West), Milton Keynes (Midlands)
Day Information: Once you have changed into your wetsuit you will be given a full safety briefing and instruction on the techniques required. Then take to the water on a cable system initially on a kneeboard. You will have one hour of kneeboarding to familiarise yourself with how the cable pulls and how to take the corners. Once you are confident on the kneeboard you will progress onto waterskis. Again you will receive tuition on land before returning to the water for your waterskiing session (two hours at the Gloucestershire location and one hour at Milton Keynes).Your voucher is valid for 10 Months. The locations are open daily from May to September inclusive and on selected days of the week for the rest of the year. All equipment is provided for your experience. Please note that this is waterskiing on a cable system. Both locations have plenty of Space for spectators as well as food and drink outlets. Minimum age is 8 years. Please note that as this event takes place in water, the experience is unsuitable for non-swimmers.

Your fantastic full day of adrenaline-pumping action will start with a thrilling session of co-piloting a lightweight Zapcat, before you’re given the chance to take control of an amazing and unique Yamato OSY400. This stunning vessel boasts top speeds of up to 67mph, and your heart will race as you tear across a constantly changing course with your face just inches from the water! Location: Sutton Coldfield (West Midlands)
Day Information: This voucher is an easy and flexible way to enjoy an exciting and exhilarating experience. Upon arrival you will be met by your qualified instructor, who will give you a full safety briefing before leading you out to your stunning vessels. Your full day experience will start with a session co-piloting a race-ready Zapcat. This lightweight race boat boasts top speeds of 50mph, and is capable of turning nearly 3G. You’ll then be given a warm drink and the chance to compose yourself before taking the unique opportunity to pilot a powerful Yamato OSY400! This speedy powerboat is nicknamed ‘The Go Kart of Inshore Racing’, and your experience will have you laying face down just inches away from the water as you take on a constantly changing course at speeds of up to 67mph. This experience will last approximately 8 hours.Your voucher is valid for 10 months for one person. Courses run on selected weekdays, Saturdays and some Sundays from May 1st through to October 1st – you are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Your experience will be re-booked if cancelled due to inclement weather. Please allow approximately 8 hours for the whole experience. Participants are asked to bring a towel and to wear clothing appropriate to the time of year. All limbs must be covered. Changing & shower facilities are available. The venue welcomes spectators. Minimum age is 16 years (although under 18 years need parental consent). Maximum height 6’6”, maximum weight 16 stone. This experience is not suitable for those with serious back problems, heart complaints or pregnant ladies. All guests will be asked to sign a health & safety/indemnity form.
